Abstract

The Middle Jurassic Hugin Formation in the Gudrun-Sigrun Field area (Norwegian North Sea) has a complex reservoir geology due to its marginal-marine depositional context. The regional depositional context has been interpreted from well logs and core samples as a predominant broad restricted lagoonal environment containing individual sand bodies interpreted as small-scale bayhead deltas.
