Abstract

Recent seismic acquisition or new drilling(cf [1]) may partially or completely invalidate a sealed and consistent 3D Earth model. Horizons may move upward or downward, faults may be shifted. This will unseal our consistent model, the horizons and the faults will not fit exactly anymore. To obtain a new consistent model, we must define a powerful and adaptable tool to handle and manage all kinds of transformations. This tool is called a model manager. It is in charge of the surface (horizons and faults) editing.
