Fiber Based SGrid Construction.
in: Proceedings of the June 2001 Gocad Meeting
Abstract
The goal of this paper is to present a new SGrid building approach, based on the latest advances
of the Parametrizer 3D work ([Cognot 2001a], [Cognot 2001b]). Although this is still very much
to be considered as “work in progress”, the preliminary results are very encouraging, and show
that this new approach will quickly evolve into a new, powerfull and extremely flexible method for
automated SGrid building in complex cases.
Special care has been put into removing some of the most important limitations of the current,
extrusion-based methods, so that not only small changes in topology between reference and target
horizons may be handled properly, but also in attempting to tackle the issue of Y-faults in depth.
