Abstract

This paper is a first result of the cooperative research between GOCAD and WIT Consortia. We develop a new technique for estimating permeability of rocks using the spatio-temporal distribution of the borehole-fluid-injection induced seismic emission. We show here how the technique works in the two different fractured zones in cristalline rocks: German KTB- and French Soultz experiments.
