The community

The primary mission of the consortium is to fund the RING Team. Since the 80's, the research team has set up a real community of expert in Numerical Geology. Joining the consortium provides a real opportunity to connect with colleagues in IOC's, NOC's, vendors and academic community.

Interactions with sponsors take many forms:

  • The RING Meeting: Sponsors' delegates can freely access this conference where the RING Team presents its latest results and organizes training sessions. It is a privileged moment for direct feedback, sharing ideas and initiating new lines of research and development.
  • Regular interactions: The RING Team regularly shares scientific content updates and announcements with its community. It is done through both a mailing list and a Microsoft Teams area devoted to sponsors.
  • One to one interactions: RING Team researchers can organize private meetings (video-conferences or on-site visits) with sponsors to discuss about topics of mutual interest and give presentations. Summer internships are also possible.

Every sponsor can access to the RING sponsors' Microsoft Teams (please contact us) and subscribe to the mailing list:

Sponsors' Material

The RING Team provides a full access to any paper, data, code, video and presentation contained on this website. Note that some of them are freely available to everyone, but most are only available for sponsors. Grants access are given through the RING Sponsors' Teams area and the mailing list, please contact us.

Sponsors have an early access to ideas and proof of concepts. Research results are presented first during the RING Meeting and then published in peer reviewed papers. RING Meeting proceedings papers, presentation slides and recorded presentations are accessible for all sponsors.

RING research activities are supported by prototypes of software. During each annual meeting, the RING team proposes a training session where sponsors can follow tutorial exercises and demos. Data, executables and guidelines are then available online.

Source code can also be shared and integrated royalty free in proprietary products by industrial sponsors, please contact us for industrialization.

Other Benefits

  •  the opportunity of acting in its governance through the annual steering committee.
  •  a privileged interaction with former students.
