Abstract
Borehole interpretation is an essential task in subsurface studies. However, it is time-consuming and different scenarios may be produced by different experts, the interpretation being inherently uncertain, as several possible scenarios can explain the same resulting data. The objective of this paper is to expose a method to automatically extract interesting features from well logs, driven by geological concepts, and to propose an assessment method of the relevance of the extracted features compared to the interpretation made by expert interpreters.
