How to build and Anticline from a single Well Marker

in: 18th gOcad Meeting, ASGA

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present a new DSI constraint that implements a global slope constraint. Basically, of we have a surface for which we have very limited date (i.e. a few well markers), then it is nealry impossible to compute interpolate a surface that would fit the wells and be consistent with the geological knowledge we my have without additional information. If, on the other hand, we can compute a global dip field, and use that dip field as a global constraint, we may then interpolate this surface and make it respect a given style.
