Abstract

This paper introduces a new mathematical method for estimating geological facies within a reservoir while Întegrating a wide range of data associated ta well logs and seismic attributes. This new method is based on the ((Discrete Smooth Interpolationll method, abbreviated DSI, developed in the frame of the GOCAD project (See (Mallet, 1989; Mallet, 1992; Mallet, 1997)).
