Raytracing in GOCAD

in: 13th gOcad Meeting, ASGA

Abstract

Existing concepts for ray tracing in GOCAD are furtherly developped in this article. Ideas and concepts are presented. A simple algorithm combines two methods for the evaluation of normals on triangulated surfaces. Results are presented in this article. A new concept (Moser, [8]) allows to trace ray cells in a recursively manner. The efforts towards a tracing through tetrahedras is presented in ils actual state.
