Abstract

In this article a ray tracing for an earth model consisting of inhomogeneous regions separated by curved interfaces is presented. Regions actually are described by using the notion of Voxets. However the implementation allows to include easily other methods than regular grids. Up so far it is possible to calculate kinematic properties (ray path, travel times, slowness vector), but also adynamie property, the 80 called ray propagator matrix. Basic tests for accuracy and performance of the algorithm are presented.
